Part-Timer Liability & Responsibility Acknowledgment
This agreement sets out the responsibilities and liability arrangements applicable to individuals undertaking freelance or part-time work assignments facilitated through the platform.
1. Nature of the Engagement
The Part-Timer acknowledges and agrees that:
- The platform acts solely as a facilitator connecting Part-Timers with clients.
- The platform does not employ the Part-Timer unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
- The Part-Timer is independently engaged by the relevant client to perform the assigned work.
- The Part-Timer is not considered an employee, representative, agent, or contractor of the platform solely by virtue of being introduced to or receiving assignments through the platform.
- Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the platform does not provide the Part-Timer with employment benefits, sponsorship, visa arrangements, or insurance coverage.
2. Legal Documentation and Right to Work
The Part-Timer confirms that they are legally permitted to undertake the relevant work in the United Arab Emirates and agrees to provide valid documentation where required.
Such documentation may include:
- A valid Emirates ID;
- A valid work visa or residence permit;
- A valid No Objection Certificate (NOC), where legally required; and
- Any other documentation required under applicable laws or regulations.
The Part-Timer is responsible for ensuring that all documentation provided is valid, accurate, and current.
The Part-Timer must immediately notify the platform if their legal eligibility or required documentation changes, expires, or is withdrawn.
3. Liability and Insurance
The Part-Timer acknowledges that they are responsible for complying with all applicable legal, safety, and professional requirements relating to their work.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the Part-Timer shall be covered by their own applicable insurance or by insurance arranged by the client, where applicable.
The platform does not guarantee or provide personal accident, medical, professional liability, or other insurance coverage for the Part-Timer unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
4. Emergency Procedures
The Part-Timer agrees to provide an up-to-date emergency contact where requested.
In the event of an accident, injury, emergency, or other serious incident occurring in connection with an assignment, the platform may contact the nominated emergency contact and/or the relevant authorities where appropriate or legally required.
5. Conduct and Client Requirements
The Part-Timer agrees to:
- Follow the client's reasonable instructions and requirements;
- Perform the assigned duties in accordance with the agreed job description;
- Follow all applicable health and safety procedures;
- Comply with workplace rules and policies communicated by the client;
- Maintain appropriate professional conduct; and
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Part-Timer understands that they are responsible for their own conduct and actions while carrying out an assignment.
The platform's role is limited to facilitating the connection between the Part-Timer and the client unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
6. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Part-Timer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the platform and its representatives from claims, losses, costs, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from the Part-Timer's unlawful acts, negligence, misconduct, breach of these terms, or failure to comply with applicable requirements while undertaking an assignment.
This provision does not apply to any liability that cannot legally be excluded or transferred under applicable law.
7. Acknowledgment
By accepting an assignment through the platform, the Part-Timer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the responsibilities, requirements, and liability arrangements set out in this acknowledgment.
